The Costs and Outlays in buying a house are as follows:<\/h4>\n

Solicitor’s fees for buying a house<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Our standard professional fee for the purchase of a dwelling is\u00a0\u20ac1,500.00<\/strong> (plus VAT).\u00a0\u00a0This would apply to a property where the purchase price does not exceed \u20ac300,000.00. Stamp Duty on\u00a0<\/strong>buying a house<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This is a tax payable by you to the State on the completion of the purchase of a house.\u00a0 On completion of the purchase of the property, Mulroy and Company Solicitors Galway will stamp the deed transferring the property into your name.<\/p>\n

The stamp duty payable is currently 1% of the purchase price where the consideration is less than \u20ac1,000,000.\u00a0\u00a0If it is over this amount, the stamp duty is 2%. You can read more about stamp duty here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Property Registration Authority fees<\/strong><\/h5>\n

On the stamping of the Deed transferring the property into your name, Mulroy and Company Solicitors Galway will make an application to the Land Registry or Registry of\u00a0\u00a0Deeds to register the property in your name.<\/p>\n

This fees will depend on whether the property is registered in the Land Registry<\/a> or the Registry of Deeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Land Registry fees payable on the buying of a house depend on the value of the property.<\/p>\n
